RICHARD S. STETTS 3rd

 Richard Stetts 3rd, born a natural artist leaning towards illustration & drafting with an aptitude for logical & reasoning thinking in 1967. From a young age he came to understand that there are many things adults & people just don't know the answers to. This led him as a young man to seek & study the sciences informally. Developing a hunger & a deep need to know & understand some of the Great questions all people have. Where did I come from? Why do I exist? Is there a GOD? Among others. Due to hardships he experienced growing up with his Father & Mother he developed anger, distrust & rebelled. Getting into juvenile trouble & eventually Phoster homes as a teen. Through those experiences, he came to believe that somehow there must be a GOD. From what he calls some miracles that happened in his life that spared him from more terrible possible events that could have happened along the way. But, like so many others he did not know how this GOD could be or who HE was. At age 19, he was released from Foster Care to live with his Father with & by his Grandfathers pressures to do so. While there he met & came to know many of the rest of his family on his Father's side. An Uncle introduced Richard to Jesus Christ & began sharing what He had done for Richard, who He was & many other Theological Christian Doctrines, knowledge & understanding. Richard found the knowledge very reasonable & sound, after & while diligently comparing with careful skepticism & distrust at first. To be sure if what he was learning was really true or not. He became excited at the sound & unshakable truths & answers to lifes Greatest questions he was finding & discovering. His Uncle once said to him, "GOD had so loved him HE sent HIS Only Son to die in Richard's place for all his sins." Richard's response as an angry young man, "if there ever was such a thing as a GOD, that is exactly what HE would have had to have done in order to convince me to believe in HIM!" "Do something out of Love for me rather than just demanding of me".

 

  After those times Richard began making new discoveries about GOD on his own, maturing & growing as a Christian. He married & had 3-children, two boys & a girl, but struggled with anger & self esteem. Eventually overcoming by Christ's healing & his relentless pursuit to overcome & become a better person. Today he & his longsuffering, wonderful wife (herself an artist) of 26 years own & operate their own Sign company, Stetts Signs, LLC in South Williamsport, PA. Home of the Little League World Series.
